Sports Injury and Rehabilitation Chiropractor

  • Examined, diagnosed, and treated musculoskeletal injuries, including work injuries and sports injuries of recreational and professional athletes including NHL players.

  • Proficient in assessment and treatment of acute injuries: strains/sprain injuries, sciatica 

  • Effective in the treatment and management of chronic pain: osteoarthritis, scoliosis, headaches and migraines.

Pediatric Chiropractor

  • Administered a world class Occupational Health and Safety System which exceeded legislative requirements.  Programs included workplace inspections, accident/injury investigation, ergonomics, emergency plan, WHMIS, WSIB, electrical safety, lock out and System Evaluation.   Prepared the organization for yearly corporate audits.

  • Trained management and line employees on legislative duties, return to work process, accident/injury investigation, WHMIS, Emergency Preparedness and Evacuation.  

  • Developed and implemented a training effectiveness evaluation program under our Safety Performance Evaluation and Accountability Report Program. Evaluated team safety training and “trained the trainer”.  

  • Researched and developed a behaviour based safety training program based on Dupont STOP principles.  

  • Coordinated activities of the Joint Health and Safety Committee, including facilitating the meetings, organizing inspections and training, organizing orientation.  

  • Inspected workplaces for hazards and made recommendations for corrective action.   

  • Managed the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board Function, including liasing with injured workers, supervisors, physicians and WSIB. Coordinated the early and safe return to work process including performing physical demands of various jobs.

  • Successfully lead SweetRipe Drinks Ltd. (now Minute Maid Canada) in achieving 72% in the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board’s Workwell Audit

  • Developed a suggestion system by consulting with every level of the organization; implemented the Employee Improvement Proposal System through training and promotion.  Created housekeeping standards and trained individual managers on techniques to achieve clean and organized departments.  Initiated and instructed a lunchtime exercise program for staff employees.
