Therapeutic Pilates for Lower Back Pain (LBP).

The class will focus on understanding causes of LBP, including areas of imbalance, tightness and weakness.  We will teach specific exercises that will reduce pain and improve balance and function. Therapeutic Pilates to Restore Balance and Strength
This workshop series is for anyone who currently recovering from an injury or needing to improve muscular imbalances.  The goal is to teach exercises that correct alignment, restore mobility properly, and develop strength safely under the guidance of a chiropractor. Therapeutic Pilates Pelvic Floor and Posture Solutions
This workshop is a must for new mothers, experienced moms, and anyone who might pee when they laugh! After pregnancy/labour (either recent or previous), abdominal and pelvic floor muscles are weakened, and may not support the needs of active mothers. Other repetitive strains, life injuries or simply biological age can also affect pelvic floor and posture. This workshop series will focus on the restorative needs and help strengthen the abdominal/pelvic floor, postural muscles.  Instructed by Dr. Darlene Buan-Basit, an experienced chiropractor and Pilates movement specialist.


Therapeutic Pilates – Bootcamp for Spinal Stenosis and Arthritis
The Spinal Stenosis Bootcamp© is an evidence based therapy and exercise backed by research papers from major hospitals.  This workshop series will teach specific exercises to help improve back mobility and flexibility for those experiencing: arthritis, disc degeneration and spinal stenosis. Instructed by Dr. Darlene Buan-Basit, an experienced chiropractor and Pilates movement specialist. She is trained in the Spinal Stenosis Bootcamp Program©. Therapeutic Pilates –Mommy and Baby Class
A unique class designed for both Mommy and Baby to get stronger together while having FUN! Exercises are taught to strength the mother’s weaken abdominal/pelvic floor areas, and stretch new tighter areas/muscles, while playing with baby. Baby’s motor development will also be enhanced with specific movement patterns necessary for baby normal growth, specifically TUMMY TIME. The class is best for pre crawlers, baby carriers required for some exercises.  Instructed by Dr. Darlene Buan-Basit, an experienced chiropractor/Pilates/Yoga teacher with a special interest in pediatrics!
